Here on a shallow earth
I spin circles incessantly
Between my death and birth
Confusion takes a hold of me
Its rhythmic and its cyclicle
The way that mania turns
To depression and I'm miserable
And all that I love burns
Watching the fall eternally
Until the end of time
From deep in the infirmary
Perpetually following blind
Under a burning sun
I feel myself evaporate
Into the cloud of depression
No longer can I relate
When the moon makes the waves
Crash into sandy shores
Mania takes hold, it fades
I'm left wanting more
Above my comfort by six feet
I walk aimlessly on the ground
Awaiting the undertaker
To lower me down
I go down, where I can carry the crown
The forest is in flames
I get jealous of its renewal
Deep within become enraged
At getting stuck in the cycle
Of lower highs and higher lows
Like an auger in reverse
Downward is all that I know
Is enlightenment or naivitey worse?
The trail follows the train rail
Toward the cemetery gates
This disease has made me frail
And I've become my own inmate
